The Gas Blower – Featuring the Husqvarna 125b Handheld Gas Blower
The gas leaf blower today has earned a great reputation, and it's a versatile yard tool that has been upgraded quite a bit from it's predecessors. Once, they were known to be very polluting and very noisy, especially when directly compared to electric models. However, today they have gotten rid of both of these drawbacks and hey can be put to use for both professionals and individual homeowners without problem or complication. One of the most highly rated gas blowers is the Husqvarna Blower detailed below.
Yard up-keep is made much easier when you use the Husqvarna 125B Handheld Blower, supplying as much as 170 MPH in air blowing power. Best blower I had so far

I previously owned an electric blower and then I had the Poulan Pro PPB300E that worked fine for the first couple of times I used it. Then for the next two years it was very hard to start, the engine would not run properly and had to keep it running mingling with the throttle and choke, and when it ran it did not seem to blow as it should have. Now it finally gave its ghost, the engine locked up. Since it was not worth fixing it, I went out and bought the Husqvarna 125B
I had a few surprises:
- At the first touch I noticed how much lighter is than the Poulan. After mounting the air pipe and nozzle, although is so light, it feels "solid".
- The starting rope can be pulled very easily. In fact so easy that at the first pull, I put my back into it and pulled so hard that I reached the end of the rope probably and the handle just flew out of my hand. I know... you're not supposed to do that, but it didn't seem to have hurt it.
- It started at the third pull, which I think is great for a brand new motor.
- Thereafter, I stopped and restarted as I was cleaning the yard several times, and every time it started at the first pull.
- The air speed and the blowing pattern seem to be very good because the dirt blows away really fast, significantly faster than the other blowers I used.
- I love the throttle being mounted on the handle as it gives you nice control over the air speed, especially when you are close to the finish and try to pile up the dirt. Also I love that it has a "cruise control" lever, which you can move to get the desired speed and then you don't have to hold the throttle, which is helpful on larger areas.
I see nothing wrong or that I would liked changed yet, so the only question remaining is how long it will last.
One note: I really do not see what is the difference between the 125B and 125Bx. The 125BVx is the same but comes with a vacuum kit.

I had a Poulan Pro 25CC blower for two seasons, and had nothing but trouble with it. Today it gave up the ghost (wouldn't draw fuel, or even "pop" with a shot of ether, I suspect a blown seal). So, when I realized an hour's worth of work had taken all afternoon and was only half done, I wrapped that bad boy around a tree and went and bought the Husqvarna 125B. It "popped" on the first pull and started and ran great on the second. Made short work of the leaves. It's lighter and just as powerful as the Poulan (when ya could make the Poulan run), and quieter. I like the cruise control, and even better, the air intake on the RIGHT side so for us right handers, it isn't constantly trying to ingest my shirt tail. Good stuff!
Great Blower

We had had only marginal success with Craftsman blowers. So, we were looking for something more substantial. This appears to be it. Though a bit heavy, it is well balanced and appears to be very well designed. It started easily right out of the box, and it moves air through a tube of modestly variable length.
Great leaf blower!

I just received this blower (Husqvarna 125B) to replace my older Poulan that seized up on me. This one is much quieter and lighter. I could actually have a conversation with my son who still had his iPhone ear plugs in while the blower was idling. Nice hand-trigger action. Everything went very smoothly, took just 5 min to setup and clear the sidewalks after my son mowed the lawn. Assuming it keeps working like this, I highly recommend it.
In most situations you'll find that a gas leaf blower contains a two-stroke engine, with total power generated measured in cubic centimeters. Simply put, the higher the number of cubic centimeters generated, the more power you are going to see as a result. For small yards in the range of about half an acre of less, you won't need more than maybe a 30 cc engine. However, for bigger yards and larger projects, you may want to seek out something more in the 55 cc range.
For both small and medium yards, a handheld gas leaf blower will get the job done. However, you will want to get a model that isn't heavier than any you can comfortably handle. Be sure to check out how much it weighs beforehand. You'll also want to see what kind of startup the gas leaf blower uses. Many operate like a lawnmower with a pull-start. You can also look for backpack style leaf blowers. This will make your life a bit easier as you deal with larger yards.
Finally, you'll also find that there are wheeled gas leaf blowers and these can be put into use both commercially and for very large properties. You'll get a lot of work done very quickly, and you'll be able to handle a huge landscape. These will also be more powerful than other options, and won't encounter as many technical problems or hassles in most instances.
One of the popular brands of gas models today is the Stihl Blower. These are known to be very functional while also being very easy to use. For example the handheld models start up easily without any aggravation and adjustable blower tubes provide plenty of flexibility. If you're looking specifically for a backpack gas leaf power, you may want to consider an Echo. You'll enjoy a padded backrest and shoulder straps and vibrations re minimized. You can also take advantage of a cruise control setting for easy operation.
Perhaps best of all is that you can kind a great model today at a variety of online stores and retailers. In fact, you can even take advantage of lower costs and free shipping in many locations which makes your life and shopping experience as stress free as possible.
